ABSTRACT
Service quality has become an important issue today. Many companies, organizations, and industries compete in the basis of service. In fact, it is difficult to find industries, even for manufacturing companies, for which service issues are considered unimportant. The study focuses on how SERVQUAL, an instrument for measuring customer perceptions of quality, is applied in several service sectors in jogjakarta and relative importance of the SERVQUAL dimensions. This study also identifies how each dimension contributes to SERVQUAL.
The data analysis uses factor analysis, a widely used and popular data reduction technique. The factor analysis is used to recognize items that form variables, which represent the perception of respondents to quality of service. Factor analysis describes the dimensionality of items or variables in SERVQUAL aimed to find new sets of variables called factor, fewer in number than the original set of variables, which express that which is common among the original variables.
The result of this study showed that SERVQUAL’s dimensionality, in terms of its application in several service sectors in Jogjakarta, is somewhat different with the original SERVQUAL stated by Parasuraman, et al. Customers in several service sectors in Jogjakarta consider Responsibility factor as the most important dimension and thus plays the biggest role in assessing the service quality of the company.

(Case Study at SAE MOBIL Workshop Bandung)

ABSTRACT
Existing in the business world that provides car servicing and repairing, SAE MOBIL Workshop has numerous works done using variety of hand tools, one of them is screwdriver. Being observed, using screwdriver with flawed and poor handle design (such that SAE MOBIL Workshop uses) creates muscle soreness, fatigue and injuries if performed in longer term. Why, people might ask? It is because the handle does not allow the wrist to return to neutral position, which can be said that during the utilization the wrist is in awkward posture. The challenge above has brought an observation upon the screwdriver handle used in SAE MOBIL Workshop.
To aim to such goal, the observation includes evaluating utilization time, measuring body dimension, and distributing questionnaire. The redesign process use rational method. Also, the use of SPSS Program has been very helpful to test the validity, reliability, normality and sufficiency of the data. The rational method is aimed to screwdriver handle that is safe, comfortable and economical – functioning just to twist and loosen the bolt. From many alternatives, T-shaped handle is chosen as the best one collecting the highest score. The prototype was built within the dimension above using clay. The x-ray of a hand holding this T-shaped handle shows the wrist returning to neutral position.
Finally, the redesign process breeds a screwdriver handle with anthropometrical dimension. A prominent length of screwdriver handle has the size of the width of palm with thumb. The ergonomic analyses have resulted in 13 cm. The circumferences of the screwdriver handle the size of the length of palm effective, which is 8 cm. The grip size is determined using the dimension of the width of middle, index and ring finger – which is 2 cm. By redesigning the handle, expectantly would prevent any injuries and fatigue to occur during work hour when using screwdriver.

ABSTRACT
This research is done at Production System Laboratory at Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. This research is about ergonomics evaluated of work environment design that not maximally fulfills the needs of the user in the Production System Laboratory. The Problem arisen from the color, fragrance, humidity, lighting, noise, and the temperature.
To show and make sure that the environment is more capable to accommodate the activities, the environment approach is comparing to the ergonomics standard that in order to support the user activity in Production System laboratory.
The proposed environment will be sufficient for the user, the temperature will be cooler, the humidity will be reduced, the lighting will be arisen to support the activity in these laboratory, and also the added of the therapy fragrance to increase the concentration and to make a comfort feeling.
Keywords: ergonomic, work environment, comfort

ABSTRACT
Based on reality of daily life, women found it difficult to replace a new 19 liters mineral water bottle by their own power, it is needed a device that could help to lighten this work. Usually one man or two women are doing this work at least, but this could be in some way very difficult if a woman replace it by her own power. For one woman to lift it up would be hard work that could cause injuries and small home accidents. The problem is there a device that could be easily used to replace a new 19 liters mineral water bottle on to a dispenser?
The analysis used biomechanical analysis of a person that is lifting a 19 liters mineral water bottle manually using ManneQuinPRO Program. The analyst then makes a new product using seven steps of creative design, followed with making the prototype of a 19 liters mineral water bottle lifter; and to make an analysis of mechanical structure to find out the safety rating of the product followed with cost calculation.
The result from this research showed a prototype of a 19 liters mineral water bottle lifter followed with its analysis of mechanical and production cost. Also showed the biomechanical analysis of a manual hand lifting for replacing 19 liters mineral water bottle, where the biggest forces are at hips and knees. This might caused serious injuries to human body. The prototype has specifications as follows:
1.Dimension
Height x Length x Width = 152cm x 70cm x 60cm
2. Motor Power
Equal to ½ Horse Power.
3. Velocity to lift up/down the gallon
Equal to 28 seconds.
4. Gallon used is only gallon trademarked by Danone Company (Aqua) and Aguaria.
5. Compatible with dispenser that has dimension approximately as follows:
Height x Length x Width = 110cm x 40cm x 40cm
6. Prototype Price
Equal to Rp. 1,827,558.83

ABSTRACT
Tin snips is a metal scissors usually used for cutting thin metal. For the Jewelry shops, this tool is used for cutting certain type of jewelries which has hard profile before sent to the molten workshop or avoid cheating by filling the jewelries by another material.
During the survey in the Bagong Jewelry, the tin snip being used has problem in usage. The tin snip tends to make hand wrist deflexion and the handle is not comfortable enough. Because of that the new design is needed to cover the problems.
The objective of this research is to redesign ergonomic tin snips that is able to eliminate or reduce the deflexion of wrist posture and discomfort handle from existing design.
